Beastie Boys' Adam "MCA" Yauch Refuses To Allow Death To Sell Him Out
DNAinfo has reported that Yauch's will contains a clause prohibiting his “image, music and any art he created” being used for advertising — ever. MCA will be punk forever.

Yauch's will was filed Tuesday, and he left his entire fortune in a $6.4 million trust for his wife and daughter. He has allowed his wife the right to sell and/or manage his art, but it can not be used for advertising.
It's not clear whether Yauch's will would be binding when it comes to the Beastie Boys -- legal rights to that music may end up being in the hands of the group's surviving members, Mike D and Ad-Rock. That said, the group has already been protective of their legacy and Yauch's. On Tuesday, the surviving members, along with Yauch's estate, sued Monster Energy Drink for using their likeness and music without permission in a promotional video.

Whether these five cans represent the five senses, the five wounds of Jesus Christ, or the Discordian "Law of Fives" is something that critics have been debating ever since this particular video emerged in early 2011. But what is clear is that Shironeko is bearing the weight of these five objects with grace and fortitude, and that he would take the weight of the world on his shoulders as long as he was allowed to continue to relax.

Curiosity's First Wide Panorama
Curiosity is having a siesta of sorts this weekend while she receives a "brain transplant" of sorts that will tweak how Curiosity drives, better image processing and how its robotic arm operates. The goal with Curiosity is to get it to create its own path based on the surface of Mars, rather than relying on maps transmitted from back home. We should be receiving more and better images next week, but in the meantime NASA has released this panoramic view stitched together by thumbnails.

Four Sisters Lovingly Recreate Their Childhood Photographs
More than 20 years after the originals were snapped by her father, photographer Wilma Hurskainen gathered her three sisters to reconstruct and re-photograph their childhood's keepsake photos. The beautiful results are incredibly poignant.

I have always been very attracted by the photograph´s ability to cross time and create this kind of comparisons. There is something sad, almost tragic, about looking at old photographs compared to new ones and seeing how people and things have changed or grown up. After all, it is said that time has been accepted as a common means of measuring life because people are not able nor willing to see the change in themselves. In the pictures it seems as if we were trying to go back to our childhood by adopting the same position towards each other and the photographer´s/spectator´s gaze but we unavoidably fail. We have to fail – there is no return in time.

These Sand Cat Kittens Are Three-Weeks-Old
They were born near Tel Aviv at an open-air safari park. Sand cats are extinct in Israel and efforts have been made to re-introduce their cuteness to the wild. Because of this, we get to admire their ridiculously charming faces.
